CPE Media News (12/18/2018) – Ada Support Inc. has raised $19 million in Series A funding led by FirstMark Capital with participation from Leaders Fund and Burst Capital, and existing investors Bessemer, Version One, and Barney Pell.
In connection with the financing, Matt Turck, Managing Director of FirstMark Capital, has joined Ada board of directors.
Founded in 2014 by Mike Murchison and David Hariri, Toronto based Ada provides AI and chatbot capabilities that are easy to use and setup by support teams to automate interactions with customers.
Ada intends to use new funding to rapidly expand into new, global markets and verticals including travel and financial services.
Ada closed a $2.5 million seed financing in January 2017 led by Bessemer and Version One.

Ada Secures $19 Million in Series A Funding Led by FirstMark Capital
New investment will accelerate the expansion of Ada’s AI-powered customer service platform into new global markets and industry sectors
TORONTO – December 18, 2018 – Ada, a global leader in automated customer service, today announced that it has raised C$19 million in Series A funding. The round was led by FirstMark Capital with participation from Leaders Fund and Burst Capital, as well as returning investors Bessemer, Version One, and computer scientist, Barney Pell.
This injection of capital will enable Ada to rapidly expand into new, global markets and verticals including travel and financial services. Ada will also use the funding for ongoing feature enhancements to its platform to provide a deeper level of personalization and customization; and to provide clients with education and guidance to build, train, and manage Automated Customer Service (ACX) departments. The company also plans to double the size of its team in 2019.
