Apple acquires Vrvana

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ: AAPL) acquired Vrvana Inc. for reportedly US $30 million. The acquisition closed early this month.

Founded in 2005 by Bertrand Nepveu and formerly known as True Player Gear Inc, Vrvana is a developer of immersive 3D augmented reality headset Totem which combines AR and VR technologies.

Vrvana had previously raised $750,000 from Real Ventures, in addition to $181,000 raised through a Kickstarter campaign.
