Blockstream secures series A add-on financing

Blockstream Corporation, a Montreal/San Francisco based blockchain technology company, has raised $6.75 million in Series A-2 financing from one unnamed Japan investor.

Osler Hoskin & Harcourt LLP acted as legal counsel to Blockstream.

Shahir Guindi, Partner of Osler, along with Tzu Ping Kang of Li Ka-shing’s Horizons Ventures, CEO Adam Back, Estelle Metayer, and Reid Hoffman (co-founder of LinkedIn) serve on Blockstream’s five-member board of directors.

Japanese corporate investor, Digital Garage, participated in Blockstream’s US $55 million Series A financing in February 2016.

Blockstream raised US $21 million in seed funding in September 2014.
