CPE Media News (3/25/2019) – Maibec Inc., a portfolio company of Fonds de solidarité des travailleurs du Québec (F.T.Q.), has acquired Perkins Precoat, a building products pre finisher located in Stoughton, Massachusetts. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Founded by Perkins brothers, John and Bill, Perkins Precoat primes and finishes commodity trimboards and siding for wholesale distribution.
Maibec will add pre finishing equipment to diversify Perkins Precoat current offerings, and launch into pre finishing of wood composite siding and Cedar shingles in the US.
Led by President François Tardif and controlled by Tardif family, Maibec has been a portfolio company of Fonds de solidarité since 2012.
