Jeff Lucassen joins Northleaf as CFO & COO

Northleaf Capital Partners has hired Jeff Lucassen, CPA, CFA, as its Chief Financial Officer (CFO) & Chief Operating Officer (COO).

Based in Northleaf’s Toronto office, Lucassen will lead the corporate financial and operational activities of the firm.

Prior to joining Northleaf in 2017, Lucassen was a Partner of The Carlyle Group (NASDAQ: CG), a global alternative asset manager, and COO of Carlyle Liquid Markets, formerly Diversified Global Asset Management (DGAM), a diversified hedge fund manager.

The Carlyle Group acquired Toronto based DGAM from co-founders, George Main, Warren Wright, Graham Thouret and Lucassen, for US $103 million in cash and common stock in February 2014.

Previously, Lucassen served as the Controller, Investment and Corporate Finance, at Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan. Lucassen began his career as an auditor with KPMG where he focused on the financial services and asset management sectors.

Lucassen, CPA and CFA, holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) from the University of Windsor and a Bachelor of Arts (Economics) from the University of Western Ontario.
