U.S. LUMBER GROUP, LLC, a portfolio company of Madison Dearborn Partners, LLC (MDP), has agreed to acquire Alexandria Moulding from Industrial Opportunity Partners (IOP) and Alexandria Moulding management shareholders led by Andre Cholette.
Alexandria, Ontario based Alexandria Moulding is a leading manufacturer and two-step distributor of a full range of mouldings and accessories across all of Canada and the northern United States.
IOP through Industrial Opportunity Partners II, L.P. acquired in partnership with Cholette acquired Moulure Alexandria Moulding Inc. in April 2016.
Duluth, Georgia based U.S. LUMBER is a leading distributor of specialty building materials in the Southeast, Mid-Atlantic and Northeast.
Madison Dearborn Partners acquired U.S. LUMBER in April 2017.

Combined Company will Have Enhanced Geographic Presence and Product and Service Capabilities
ATLANTA, Ga. and ALEXANDRIA, Ontario, Aug. 15, 2018 /PRNewswire/ — U.S. LUMBER GROUP, LLC (“U.S. LUMBER”) and Alexandria Moulding announced today that they have signed an agreement under which U.S. LUMBER will acquire Alexandria Moulding. U.S. LUMBER, based in Atlanta, is a leading two-step distributor of specialty building products in the Eastern and Midwestern United States. Alexandria Moulding, headquartered in Alexandria, Ontario, Canada, is a leading manufacturer and two-step distributor of a full range of mouldings and accessories across all of Canada and the northern United States. The combination will create a company with a broader geographic presence as well as enhanced product and service capabilities.

Mr. Cholette will be joining the U.S. LUMBER Board of Directors. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The companies expect to complete the transaction by early October 2018, subject to the satisfaction of customary closing conditions.
