OMERS and BMO commit $42M to District Ventures CPG Fund

District Ventures Capital, has secured additional $42 million in capital commitments from OMERS ($33 million) and BMO Bank of Montreal ($9 million) for its first consumer products and goods (CPG) focused fund, bringing total fund size to $70 million.

Managed by General Partner, Arlene Dickinson, District Ventures CPG fund is a 2016-vintage fund investing in innovative companies in the food & beverage and health & wellness sectors. The fund held a “final” close in September 2017, raising $28 million from predominately private investors.

OMERS and BMO Invest in District Ventures Capital

TORONTO, July 10, 2019 /CNW/ – District Ventures Capital (“District Ventures”), the consumer goods venture capital fund founded by Arlene Dickinson, announced today funding commitments from OMERS, the defined benefit pension plan for municipal employees in Ontario ($33mm) and the Bank of Montreal (“BMO”), two very highly regarded institutional investors. These investments take the fund size to $70 million dollars.
