ONCAP’s Englobe acquires Crandall Engineering

Englobe Corp., a portfolio company of ONCAP II, has acquired Moncton, New Brunswick based Crandall Engineering Ltd. The transaction was closed on January 19, 2018. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Founded in 1952 and with 115 employees, Crandall Engineering provides engineering consulting services in the civil, transportation, mechanical and electrical fields, across the four Atlantic Provinces.

Quebec City, Quebec based Englobe is a leading integrated environmental services company specializing in the management of contaminated soils and organic-based waste streams, with an emphasis on beneficial reuse. The company is also a leading provider of complementary geotechnical engineering and inspection, material testing and building sciences in Canada. Englobe Corp. and Crandall Engineering Ltd. are joining forces in Atlantic Canada

Englobe is proud to announce the acquisition of Crandall Engineering Ltd. (“Crandall”), an engineering firm headquartered in Moncton, New Brunswick. The transaction was closed on January 19, 2018.

Crandall was founded in 1952. With 115 employees, it provides engineering consulting services in the civil, transportation, mechanical and electrical fields, across the four Atlantic Provinces.

Englobe, by teaming up with Crandall, is becoming a major service provider in Atlantic Canada, with now 5 offices and nearly 200 staff, including a local presence in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland.

“This partnership is the first step towards our Canadian Growing Plan and we are happy to do it in Atlantic Canada with Crandall. Both companies have developed strong business relationships overtime will now offer their complementary services to each other’s clients in Atlantic Canada.” says Stephen Montminy, Senior Vice President Operations – Professional Services, Englobe.
