AEA’s Troxell and H.I.G. Growth Partners’ CDI Technologies merge

Troxell Communications, a portfolio company of AEA Investors LP, and CDI Technologies, a portfolio company of H.I.G. Growth Partners, have merged to form Troxell-CDI. No other financial details of the transaction were disclosed.

Markham, Ontario based CDI is a leading provider of recertified technology, white glove services and device lifecycle management to the North American Education vertical. Phoenix, Arizona based Troxell is a leading end-to-end solution provider for technology and collaborative solutions in K-12 and higher education.

Troxell-CDI will be headquartered in Phoenix and led by Erez Pikar, former CEO of CDI, as CEO. Mike Ruprich, the former CEO of Troxell, will continue to play an important role in the integration of the two companies and will shift to a governance role serving on the board of directors.

The merger will enable Troxell-CDI to combine forces and become the premier Education Technology Solutions Provider servicing North America.

In January 2014, H.I.G. Growth Partners, the dedicated growth capital investment affiliate of H.I.G. Capital, completed a strategic investment in CDI.

Troxell Communications was acquired by AEA Investors in 2008.
