Apax acquires Lasso Data Systems, 3rd Canadian addon to ECi Software Solutions

CPE Media News (12/11/2018) – ECi Software Solutions, a portfolio company of Apax Partners and The Carlyle Group, has acquired Lasso Data Systems, a leading provider of cloud-based CRM software for new home marketing and sales. The deal closed on December 6 and terms were not disclosed.

Richmond, BC based Lasso will become part of ECi’s Residential Home Construction Division, and the team will report to ECi’s Residential Home Construction President, Scott Duman.

Founded by CEO Dave Clements, Lasso serves more than 500 builders, real estate developers and new home sales agencies on thousands of communities in North America.

Lasso Data Systems is the third Canadian acquisition by Fort Worth, Texa based ECi Software Solution, a provider of industry-specific business management software and services, focusing on cloud-based technologies.

ECi acquired Print Audit of Calgary on November 30 2018 and Office Document Consulting Inc. (ODC) of Oakville, Ontario in October 2018.

Fort Worth, Tex.—Tuesday, December 11, 2018 ECi Software Solutions, a leader in cloud-based business management solutions, today announced it has acquired Lasso Data Systems, a leading provider of cloud-based CRM software for new home marketing and sales. Lasso’s product suite includes a feature-rich CRM solution built exclusively for the homebuilding industry, including lead management, automated engagement and follow-up processes, email marketing and comprehensive reporting capabilities. Lasso will become part of ECi’s Residential Home Construction Division, and the team will report to ECi’s Residential Home Construction President, Scott Duman.

With this acquisition, ECi has added a market-leading CRM solution to its product suite that includes MarkSystems®, its flagship ERP for homebuilders, and LotVue®, its site map software for homebuilders and developers. The addition of Lasso will further broaden ECi’s ability to serve the homebuilder market. ECi will continue to develop, support and sell Lasso as both a vendor-agnostic standalone CRM solution, and as an integrated bundle with MarkSystems and/or LotVue.
