ATB Financial launches ATB Capital Markets

CPE News (7/14/2020) – ATB Financial has officially announced the official launch of ATB Capital Markets Inc., a combination of capital market services within ATB Financial and AltaCorp Capital.

In January 2018, ATB Financial acquired a majority stake from George Gosbee, the estate of the late founder of AltaCorp Capital. In May 2020, ATB Financial acquired the remaining interest in AltaCorp Capital from employees owners to own 100% of the company. As part of the acquisition, ATB Financial has intended to launch AltaCorp ATB Capital Markets, subject to regulatory approval.

ATB Capital Markets will be led by Jon Horsman, CEO of ATB Capital Markets & Senior EVP of ATB Business, Paul Sarachman, President of ATB Capital Markets & VP of ATB Business
and Darren Eurich, Head of Investment and Corporate Banking of ATB Capital Markets & SVP of ATB Business.
