CPE News Brief (1.24.2024) – Beatdapp Software Inc. has reportedly raised US $17 million* in Series A funding led by Hong Kong based Saltagen Ventures and Jamie King, with participation of Larry Fichtner and other existing investors.

King, former CEO of Verafin, will join Fichtner (President of Entrada Resource Management Ltd.) and founders Andrew Batey and Morgan Hayduk on Beatapp board of directors.

Fasken acted as Beatapp legal counsel.

Vancouver based Beatdapp Software Inc. helps music labels and artists track their songs to collect royalties. Beatdapp authenticates, verifies, and validates media streamed in real time. It reduces the tracking discrepancies between Digital Service Providers (DSPs) and rights holders, increasing royalty revenue for rights holders while limiting legal exposure, expensive audit costs, and lawsuits for DSPs.

*company only reported 29% of the funding
