CPE News (9/8/2020) – CAI Capital Partners, in partnership with Stefan Fletcher, CEO of RebalanceMD Canada Ltd., has acquired RebalanceMD. Financial terms were not disclosed.
CAI Partners, Tracey McVicar and Rob Wildeman, have joined ReblanceMD board along with Fletcher.
Founded in 2013, Victoria, BC based RebalanceMD is an operator of medical clinics that provide musculoskeletal (MSK) care including a full range of orthopedic surgical procedures and ancillary non-surgical services. It currently operates a 20,000 plus square foot clinic in Victoria with a team of highly integrated surgical and non-surgical physicians, physiotherapists and bracing/orthotic technicians.
CAI investment will provide significant capital for growth through the opening of new clinics, initially in BC and Alberta and, over the longer term, throughout Canada.
Fletcher will continue to lead the company.

CAI Announces Investment in RebalanceMD
Vancouver, BC – September 8, 2020 – CAI Capital Partners (“CAI”) is pleased to announce that it has closed an investment in RebalanceMD Canada Ltd. (“RebalanceMD”), a Victoria-based operator of medical clinics that provide musculoskeletal (MSK) care including a full range of orthopedic surgical procedures and ancillary non-surgical services. RebalanceMD operates a +20,000 square foot clinic in Victoria with a team of highly integrated surgical and non-surgical physicians, physiotherapists and bracing/orthotic technicians.
Founded in 2013, RebalanceMD has developed a highly efficient triage system for patient care and case management and it has grown to become Victoria’s one-stop shop for MSK health. RebalanceMD works closely with the local health authority, Island Health, to optimize the utilization of hospital assets such as surgical suites and patient beds. The RebalanceMD system has contributed to average wait times for hip and knee replacements that are 30-40% lower in the Island Health region compared to other regions in BC.
CAI’s investment will provide significant capital for growth through the opening of new clinics, initially in BC and Alberta and, over the longer term, throughout Canada.
