Canadian investor invests in Telegram ICO

Telegram Group has raised funding from a Canadian investor as part of initial coin offering (ICO).

Cassels Brock & Blackwell LLP acted as Canadian counsel to Telegram Group Inc.

BritishVirgin Islands based Telegram is led by Pavel V. Durov (founder, CEO and sole director) and Nikolai Durov.

In January 2018, TON Issuer raised US $850M and said it may pursue one or more subsequent offerings.

Telegram intends to use the proceeds for the development of the TON Blockchain, the development and maintenance of Telegram Messenger, a cloud-based mobile and desktop messaging app with a focus on security and speed.
