Garage Capital leads Cognito Health’s $1.1 million CAD Pre-Seed round to bring high quality mental healthcare to all Canadians.

During the depths of the pandemic a pharmacist and engineer hatched an idea. A high quality mental health service for all Canadians. Partnering with a physician, psychologist, and senior developer Cognito was formed.

Depression and anxiety are crippling Canadians and their healthcare system. Preceding the pandemic 3.8 million Canadians per year experienced these conditions, this number exceeded 7 million during the pandemic.

Cognito’s unique model involves a combination of CBT and medication which have been shown to be the most effective treatment for depression and anxiety.

Their platform also offers digital assessments, nursing visits, physician visits, counseling, coaching, self directed courses, medication delivery, and daily affirmations all under one pricing plan. All of these services are geared towards comprehensive wrap-around care for client’s mental health needs.

With this money Cognito plans to fulfill their vision of expanding to the rest of Canada this year.
