Digital Colony’s Beanfield Metroconnect acquires Epik Networks

CPE News (10/7/2020) – Beanfield Metroconnect, a portfolio company of Digital Colony, has acquired Epik Networks Inc., a Toronto based telecommunications provider, from founders Andrew Gyenes and Regan Kerry. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Beanfield acquired Epik Network’s 200 Canadian business clients in Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver.

Epik Network is Beanfield’s third acquisition since January 2020, following the acquisitions of Openface Inc. in February and the metro network of Cogeco Cable owned Aptum Technologies (formerly PEER 1 Network Enterprises) in May.

Digital Colony initially invested in Beanfield in October 2019 and complete a repcapitilzation of the company in May 2020.

Founded in 1988, Toronto based Beanfield builds, owns and operates the largest independent fibre-optic network in Toronto and Montreal.

Beanfield Metroconnect Acquires Epik Networks Canada

The independent telecommunications service provider continues to expand with recent purchase
