Exact Imaging has raised $21.5 million in Series C funding co-led by Lumira Capital and Vesalius Biocapital of Luxembourg, and with participation from PMV (Participatiemaatschappij Vlaanderen) of Brussel, Belgium, existing investors including iGan Partners/Rowanwood Ventures. The financing closed late in 2016.
The Series C includes the conversion of a $2.85m bridge financing closed in April 2016.
Exact Imaging intends to use new funds to commercialize its ExactVu™ micro-ultrasound system.
Peter van der Velden, Managing General Partner of Lumira Capital, Dr. Gaston Matthyssens, Managing Partner of Vesalius Biocapital, Dr. Alexandra Tolia, PMV will be joining Exact Imaging’s board of directors along with existing board members, Sam Ifergan, CEO of iGan Partners, William Wortman (Private Investor), Dr. Harold Wodlinger (Wodlinger Consulting) and Randy AuCoin, Exact Imaging’s President and CEO.
