Genasys closes acquisition of Amika Mobile assets

CPE News (8/10/2020) – Genasys Inc. (NASDAQ: GNSS) completed the acquisition of all of the assets of Amika Mobile Corporation.

Financial terms were not disclosed. But the purchase price is consisting of cash and earnout out payment to be issued in Genasus shares.

Founded by Suhayya (Sue) Abu-Hakima and Ken Grigg, Ottawa based Amika Mobile is a leading provider of integrated emergency critical communications. Its flagship product, the Amika® Mobility Server (AMS), addresses IoT and BYOD security and is ideal for alert/response in Smart Cities, enterprise, community, airport, sports arena, shopping center and campus environments.

Amika Mobile Renamed Genasys Communications Canada

SAN DIEGO, Oct. 05, 2020 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Genasys Inc. (NASDAQ: GNSS), the global leader in critical communications systems and solutions, today announced the completion of its acquisition of Amika Mobile, a Canada-based enterprise software provider of critical communications, event situational awareness and emergency management products. Under the terms of the closing, Amika Mobile has been renamed Genasys Communications Canada.
