JobBliss, a platform that enables companies to manage and find freelance talent, has closed a round of angel funding with a Toronto angel investor. The round also includes a Smart Start grant from the Ontario Centres of Excellence, an innovation commercialization hub.

JobBliss is a female founded tech startup and was a finalist for the Women 2.0 Pitch competition, TechCrunch Disrupt Toronto, and BNN Disruptors Pitch.

“As an experienced executive in tech innovation, I’ve hired and worked with a variety of freelancers and contractors throughout my career. What struck me is how much more nimble and competitive companies can be using freelancers,” said Angie Kramer, founder and CEO of JobBliss. “Companies need to be more agile than ever, and require flexible, specialized talent. Freelancers want to build viable careers by finding more work. JobBliss makes these company-contractor interactions affordable and efficient through a centralized solution.”
