Onex Corporation (TSX: ONEX) has hired Laurence Goldberg, co-Head of Global Technology, Media and Telecommunications Banking at Barclays, as a Managing Director in the New York office. Goldberg will be responsible for leading Onex Partners’ investing activities in the technology sector.

He is ideally suited to lead our investments in technology companies fitting with our overall private equity strategy,” commented Gerry Schwartz, Onex’ Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.
Goldberg has more than 25 years of industry experience. Prior to joining Barclays in September 2008 as Head of Global Technology Investment Banking, Goldberg served the Head of Technology investment banking at Lehman Brothers (2005-2008), a member of Credit Suisse First Boston’s technology investment banking group (199-2005) and investmetn banker with Bear Stearns & Company (1995–1999).
Goldberg holds a B.S. from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
