Micron Waste Technologies closes private financing

Micron Waste Technologies Inc., a leading organic waste technology company, has raised $2,631,750 from a group of 89 Canadian and international investors.

Investor names were not disclosed. Aurora Cannabis Inc. (CSE: ACB; FSE: 21P; OTCQB: ACBFF; WKN: A1C4WM) is likely an investor or an early backer. Cameron Battley, Aurora’s SVP of Communications and Medical Affairs, served as the only independent director of Micro’s 6-members board.

PI Financial acted as placement agent for the financing.

Founded in 2015, Micron Waste Technologies has developed and commercialized an on-site treatment system that can turn organic waste into clean water. The company is focusing on food distributors, marijuana cultivators, restaurants and hotels.
