Mobeewave acquired by Apple for reportedly US $100M

CPE News (8/4/2020) – Apple Inc. (NASDAQ: AAPL) has acquired Mobeewave. The transaction closed in June 2020. Financial terms were not disclosed. Apple has reportedly paid US $100 million.

Stikeman Elliot LLP acted as legal counsel to Apple.

Founded by Benjamin du Haÿs and Maxime de Nanclas in 2011, Mobeewave pioneers in-person contactless payment acceptance, enabling payment acceptance on smart devices.

Mobeewave was backed by Forestay Capital, NewAlpha Asset Management, Sériphos, Mastercard, Samsung, SBT Venture Capital, and others.
