CPE News (4.19.2024) – Neurenati Therapeutics has raised $1.7 million in additional seed funding including Quebec Government’s investment of $1.38 million via its Impulsion PME program, for which Investissement Québec acts as agent, and investments from private investors, bringing the total seed funding to $2.9 million.

In February 2024, Neurenati Therapeutics announced the closing of $1.2 million in seed funding from Genson Capital.

Founded by Rodolphe Soret, PhD, and CSO Nicolas Pilon, PhD, and led by CEO Maxime Ranger, PhD, Montréal based Neurenati Therapeutics is a biotech company dedicated to developing therapies for rare diseases. The first technology targets Hirschsprung disease (HSCR), a life-threatening gastrointestinal (GI) birth defect characterized by the lack of nerves in parts of the lower GI tract.

New funding will be used to effectively advance its NEU-001 toward clinical trials. NEU-001 is a proposed first-in-class therapy to treat Hirschsprung’s disease, a rare gastrointestinal disease affecting approximately 1,300 newborns in North America each year.
