Onex closes £1.35B acquisition of Parkdean Resorts

Onex Corporation (TSX: ONEX) though Onex Partners IV has closed previously announced acquisition of Parkdean Resorts for £1.35 billion or US $1.68 billion. Sellers are private equity firms, Epiris and Alchemy Partners.

Onex Partners IV and certain limited partners as co-investors made an equity investment of US $627 million. Onex’ share of the investment as a Limited Partner in the fund and as a co-investor was US $170 million.

Parkdean Resorts is a leading operator of caravan holiday parks in the United Kingdom.

Parkdean Resorts was formed from the merger of Epiris owned Park Resorts and Alchemy Partners controlled Parkdean Holidays in a transaction valued the combined company at an enterprise value of £960 million.
