pcJ News Briefs – Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan has appointed Tracey MacPherson as Managing Director, People Advisory Services.

MacPherson reports to Beth Tyndall, Chief People Officer, and will work closely with business leaders and the rest of the People & Culture team

MacPherson joins Ontario Teachers’ from Tangerine, where she was the Head of HR Centres of Excellence.

Appointment notice – Tracey MacPherson

Ron Mock, President and CEO, Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan (Ontario Teachers’), is pleased to announce that Tracey MacPherson has been appointed Managing Director, People Advisory Services. Ms. MacPherson reports to Beth Tyndall, Chief People Officer, and will work closely with business leaders and the rest of the People & Culture team to deliver forward thinking insights and solutions for the organization.

Ms. MacPherson brings more than 20 years of HR experience to the role. She joins Ontario Teachers’ from Tangerine, where she was the Head of HR Centres of Excellence. Prior to this, Ms. MacPherson held senior HR leadership roles at RSA and GE.

Ontario Teachers’ is Canada’s largest single-profession pension plan, with $180.5 billion in net assets at June 30, 2017. It holds a diverse global portfolio of assets, 80% of which is managed in-house, and has earned an annualized rate of return of 10.1% since the plan’s founding in 1990.
