CPE News (3/25/2021) – Hornetsecurity GmbH, a portfolio company of Providence Strategic Growth and Verdane, has acquired Zerospam Sécurité Inc., a cloud email protection specialist headquartered in Montreal. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Founded by David Poellhuber, Zerospam is a fast-growing and profitable business that serves more than 4,000 small, midsized and enterprise customers worldwide via an ecosystem of 400+ partners focused primarily on Canada and the US.
Poellhuber remains as a shareholder of Zerospam.
Hanover, Germany based Hornetsecurity is a leading email cloud security and backup provider, which protects the IT infrastructure, digital communication and data of companies and organizations of all sizes.
In July 20210, Providence Strategic Growth joined Verdane as an investor in Hornetsecurity, acquiring stakes held High-Tech Gründerfonds and HCS Beteiligungsgesellschaft.
