Patron Technology, a portfolio company of Providence Strategic Growth, has acquired Greencopper Publishing Inc. The transaction closed in early February 2018 and financing terms were not disclosed.
Montreal based Greencopper provides engaging technology solutions to some of the most prestigious music festivals around the world. Innovations range from cutting-edge mobile apps to powerful web and social media engines, as well as interactive music discovery tools. In 2017, more than 15 million people at 300 festivals worldwide used Greencopper and Fast Company ranked the company among the World’s 10 Most Innovative Companies in Live Events.
In July 2017, Providence Strategic Growth, the growth equity affiliate of Providence Equity, acquired a majority stake in Patron Technology.

Patron Technology Acquires Greencopper
NEW YORK, NY — February 22, 2018 – Patron Technology, an industry-leading ticketing and event experience software company, today announced it has acquired Greencopper, a global provider of mobile and web technologies for live events. Greencopper will continue to service its clients with innovative technology and outstanding customer service as the company becomes integrated as a part of the growing Patron Technology platform. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Greencopper helps live event goers engage more deeply with the events they attend through mobile apps and web tools. Greencopper’s innovations also offer interactive maps, messaging and music discovery tools that foster deeper connections with fans throughout the live event to enhance their experience.
