PwC Canada acquires Avaleris Inc.

CPE News (9/16/2021) – PwC Canada has acquired Avaleris Inc., an Ottawa based firm focused on Microsoft Identity, Security and Cloud services, from founders Ron J. Mac Donell, Anita M. Burwash. Hugh M. Lindley, and Marc R. Mac Donell. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The acquisition will further enhances PwC’s adept cybersecurity and cloud offerings. Avaleris’ team of 30 highly experienced cybersecurity professionals will join PwC network.

Avaleris is a recognized leader in helping enterprise and government organizations tackle challenging business problems related to the IT security of user identities and their secure access to networks and information.

Two earlier companies founded by Avaleris team, The Exocom Group and Alacris Inc., were acquired by Manitoba Telecom Services (MTS) and Microsoft respectively, where their certificate management product became a foundation for Microsoft Identity Manager (MIM).

PwC Canada acquires Ottawa-based cybersecurity consulting firm Avaleris Inc.

The acquisition further enhances PwC’s adept cybersecurity and cloud offerings.
