SeaFort’s Cooper Equipment acquires Alberta Lift

Cooper Equipment Rentals Limited, a portfolio company of SeaFort Capital, has acquired Alberta Lift and Equipment Rentals Inc. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Justin Wharton, President and co-founder of Alberta Lift, will assume a senior role with Cooper, and will help grow Cooper’s business in Western Canada.

Established in 2012, Alberta Lift is an equipment rental company focused on aerial equipment that services Southern Alberta from its branches in Calgary and Lethbridge. The company has built its business through an uncompromising dedication to customer service. Alberta Lift offers quality, late model equipment that is supported by a highly experienced team of rental professionals.

The company operates 25 rental locations.

The Sobey and McCain family backed SeaFort Capital acquired control of Cooper Equipment in 2013.
