Semios secures new financing

SemiosBio has raised over $18.9 million from investors led by SBT Investments (VCC) and Michael Gilbert’s Gilbert Family Holding Inc. Semios leverages its proprietary, internet of things (IoT) wireless network and big data analytics to help farmers manage insect pests, disease, weather and irrigation. Semios provides comprehensive in-field installation, service and support to enable growers to maximize results from the adoption of its system.

Semios improves sustainability by reducing the crop management inputs, including toxic pesticides, and Semios increases the profitability with bigger harvests at higher grades.
