Shane Feeney, CPP Investments’ Global Private Equity Head, joins Northleaf

CPE News (6/22/2021) – Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPP Investments) announced that Shane Feeney, Senior Managing Director & Global Head of Private Equity, will be leaving CPP Investments to assume a leadership role at Northleaf Capital Partners.

In a separate news release by Northleaf, Feeney will join Northleaf as Global Head of Secondaries. Reporting to Northleaf Managing Director and co-Founder Michael Flood, Feeney will oversee all aspects of Northleaf’s secondaries program.

Shane led CPP Investments’ Private Equity program, including teams dedicated to investments in Direct Private Equity, Private Equity Asia, Private Equity Funds and Secondaries.

Feeney joined CPP Investments in 2010 from Bridgepoint Capital Limited in London. Prior to Bridgepoint, he was a partner and founding member of Hermes Private Equity’s direct investing business until its transition to Bridgepoint in 2009. Previously, Feeney was an Associate Director at Morgan Grenfell Private Equity in London and has served as a director of Livingston International, 99 Cents Only Stores, The Gates Corporation and Air Distribution Technologies.

Feeney holds a BA in economics from Dartmouth College and an MBA from INSEAD.

TORONTO, June 22, 2021 /CNW/ – John Graham, President & CEO of Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPP Investments) today announced that after 11 years with CPP Investments, Shane Feeney, Senior Managing Director & Global Head of Private Equity, will be leaving the organization to assume a leadership role at Northleaf Capital Partners.
