Sheertex, the company behind Impossibly Resilient Tights, has closed a major Series C round of financing led by H&M Group with participation of BDC Capital Women in Technology Venture Fund, Arctern Ventures, G2 Venture Partners, and other Canadian and international investors.
Nanna Andersen, Head of H&M CO:LAB (ventures) at H&M Group, and Michelle Scarborough, Managing Partner, Women in Technology Venture Fund, joined Sheertex board of directors.
Founded by Katherine Homuth, Sheertex’ mission is to eliminate the 2 billion pairs of disposable tights that get tossed into landfills every year and change the world’s relationship with tights.
Named one of TIME’s Best Inventions, Sheertex innovative, patent-pending technology has advanced a once stagnant industry thanks to its invention of a unique, impossibly-strong fiber that was never-before-seen in hosiery.
Sheertex has previously been backed by Arctern Ventures, G2 Venture Partners and other investors.
