CPE News (3/4/2021) – SomaDetect Inc. has raised US $4.52 million Series A funding led by Ag Capital Canada Limited Partnership (ACC) with participation of Merck Animal Health Ventures, Builders VC and Wilbur Ellis’ Cavallo Ventures.
The financing closed in February 2021. Miller Thomson LLP acted as legal counsel to ACC.
Founded by Bharath Sudarsan and Bethany Deshpande, SomaDetect Inc. is an agricultural technology company specializing in machine learning and artificial intelligence within the dairy industry.
The investment will help bring the benefits of SomaDetect’s technology to more farmers in Canada and the US.
