CPE News (4/7/2021) – Streamland Media Holdings LLC, a portfolio company of Trive Capital and Five Crowns Capital, has announced that it is acquiring Sim Video International’s post production business (Sim Post).
The acquisition bolsters Streamland’s existing presence in Los Angeles and Vancouver, and gives the company a substantial footprint in New York City to provide exceptional picture and sound finishing.
The transaction, expected to be complete in the first half of 2021, is backed by Trive Capital and Five Crowns Capital.
There will be no interruption of services to Sim Post’s clients during the integration, and all employees dedicated to the Sim post production business will be a part of the transition.
Founded by Rob and Peggy Sim, Toronto based Sim Video International is a leading supplier of camera equipment, dailies and post-production solutions. Sim’s Toronto and Vancouver facilities provide camera equipment rentals, while all its geographic locations (Toronto, Vancouver, Los Angeles, New York and Atlanta) provide an array of services from dailies, to online and offline editing, to final color/DI and visual effects, to sound editorial and mixing.
Following the closing of the transaction, Sim will focus exclusively on its camera operations.
