Tim Hortons and Cartesian Capital Group launch Chinese Master Franchise JV

CPE Media News – pcJournal (7/11/2018) – Tim Hortons®, one of North America’s largest quick-service restaurant chains, announced today that it has entered into an exclusive master franchise joint venture agreement with Cartesian Capital Group to develop and open more than 1,500 Tim Hortons restaurants throughout China over the next ten years.

Tim Hortons is owned by Restaurant Brands International Inc. (TSX/NYSE: QSR) which is majority controlled by 3G Capital.

Led by Peter Yu, Cartesian Capital Group, LLC is a New York based global private equity firm with US $3 billion under management. The firm has offices in New York, Sao Paulo, Shanghai, Warsaw, and Bermuda.

Tim Hortons enters into an exclusive Master Franchise Joint Venture Agreement with Cartesian Capital Group to open more than 1,500 restaurants in the next ten years

OAKVILLE, ON, July 11, 2018 /CNW/ – Tim Hortons®, one of North America’s largest quick-service restaurant chains, announced today that it has entered into an exclusive master franchise joint venture agreement with Cartesian Capital Group (“Cartesian”) to develop and open more than 1,500 Tim Hortons restaurants throughout China over the next ten years.
