Waterous Energy Fund holds initial close for Fund III

Waterous Energy Fund (WEF) has held an initial close for its 3rd flagship fund, Waterous Energy Fund III, with close to CDN $1 billion in total capital commitments, plus unknown amount of capital commitments for the Canadian fund.

Founded by Adam Waterous in 2016, Waterous Energy Fund is a Calgary based energy private equity firm with offices in Houston and Greenwich, Connecticut. The firm is pursuing investments in the North American energy sector.

Waterous Energy Fund closed its inaugural fund in 2018. In additional to its flagship funds, Waterous Energy Fund also manages co-investment and special limited partner investments funds.

With initial close of WEF III, Waterous Energy Fund has US $6.4 billion in capital under management.
