Where does the Canadian VC funding come from?

Out of the $4.63 billion Canadian VC funding raised by Canadian companies in the first, $2.06 billion came from Canada, $1.80 billion from US investors and $771 million from international investors, accounting for 44%, 39% and 17% of the total amount respectively.

Compared to 2022, the percentage of US and Canadian investors were 45% and 38% respectively.

It is not unexpected that the withdrawal of US investors in the first nine months of 2023 has contributed the dramatic drop in VC funding from that of 2022.
