White Star Capital promotes Lylan Masterman to General Partner

White Star Capital, an early stage venture capital firm with offices in London, New York, Montreal, Paris and Tokyo, has promoted Lylan Masterman from principal to General Partner (GP).

Masterman joins Eric Martineau-Fortin, Christian Hernandez Gallardo, Jean-François Marcoux as GPs of the White Star fund.

Masterman, based in New York, previously worked at Atlas division of aQuantive, WebTV at Microsoft, as technology evangelist at Microsoft Research, and a member of the product team for the first version of VisualStudio .NET.

Masterman, a Kauffman Fellow (class 19), holds a degree in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo and an MBA from Kellogg School of Management.
