Win Bear joins Kensington Capital Partners as MD Venture Capital

CPE News (7/23/2020) – Win Bear has joined Kensington Capital Partners investment team, as a Managing Director focused on the venture capital sector.

Bear joins Kensington following a successful 15-year tenure at Silicon Valley Bank (SVB), most recently as SVB’s Head of Business Development in Canada.

Bear holds a BA in English and an MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Kensington is currently investing from three active venture capital funds: Kensington Venture Fund I (VCAP) & II (VCCI), and the BC Tech Fund. In addition, the Kensington Private Equity Fund includes venture capital investments as part of its strategy.

Win joins Kensington following a successful 15-year tenure at Silicon Valley Bank, where he led SVB’s growth initiatives for the Canadian market. Win spent 20 years in commercial banking, specifically focused on the innovation sector.
