CPE News Brief (12.17.2023) – Woveo has raised $2.3 million in seed funding from BKR Capital, Relay Ventures, The Northpine Foundation, Gary Schwartz and The Canadian Lenders Association.
BKR’s Lise Birikundavyi, Relay Ventures’ Alex Baker, and Gary Schwartz have joined Woveo board of directors along with two co-founders.
Founded by Jonah Chininga, James Muhato and Sergio Fernandez, Calgary/Charlottetown, PEI based Woveo is a provider of low-cost and short-term credit options to non-prime Canadians.
