Fireweed Energy Ltd. has closed an initial private placement of 1,472,188 common shares at $4.00 per share for $5,888,750 from Canadian and Swiss private investors.
DLA Piper (Canada) LLP acted as legal counsel to Fireweed.
Fireweed Energy board of directors is comprised of Joel A. MacLeod, President & CEO and Chairman of Tidewater Midstream and Infrastructure Ltd., and Stephen J. Holyoake, a director of Tidewater and VP of Drilling and Completions for Tangle Creek Energy Ltd.
