HKW’s GCR acquires MB3 Technologies

CPE Media News – pcJournal (7/19/2018) – GCR, Inc., a portfolio company of Hammond, Kennedy, Whitney & Company, Inc. (HKW), has acquired Ottawa based MB3 Technologies Inc. for undisclosed amount. The transaction closed on July 16, 2018.

Founded in 2005 and led by founder and CEO Matt Blakely, MB3 is a software development company focused on emergency grants management. This acquisition further strengthens GCR’s software solutions for public safety and disaster recovery.

HKW acquired majority interest in GCR from Clearview Capital on December 21, 2017.

New Orleans-based public sector software and services firm, GCR Inc. (GCR), expanded this week by acquiring MB3 of Ottawa, Canada, a leading provider of recovery and grants management software. Integrating MB3 products into GCR’s suite creates a robust offering for clients that manage, oversee, and distribute federal funding, including HUD, FEMA, aviation agencies, and municipalities.
