Canada Cartage, a portfolio company of Nautic Partners, LLC, has acquired Doyle Transportation. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Guelph, Ontario based Doyle Transportation provides dedicated fleet outsourcing, full truckload (FTL), and less than truckload (LTL) solutions to customers shipping domestically and to the United States.

Doyle Transportation operates a 20,000 square foot facility in Guelph which includes 4 cross-dock doors, warehouse space, and truck maintenance bays. Canada Cartage has signed on all sixty former Doyle Transportation employees in order to continue the great service they are providing to their customers across Canada and the United States.

Doyle Transportation’s acquisition will strengthen Canada Cartage’s service to their customers in the Kitchener-Waterloo-Cambridge and Guelph areas. It complements the company’s other southern Ontario terminals and warehouses including London, Mississauga, Brampton and Oshawa.

Founded in 1914, Canada Cartage is the country’s largest provider of outsourced fleet solutions, providing dedicated equipment and drivers to both small and large firms. Canada Cartage also provides integrated managed transportation and warehousing solutions, along with B2C home delivery of large format goods.

Nautic Partners, in partnership with management, acquired the operations of Canada Cartage from Canada Cartage Diversified Income Fund in July 2007 for $140 million.
