National Technical Systems, Inc. (NTS), a portfolio company of Los Angeles, California based Aurora Capital Group, through its Canadian subsidiary, has acquired Fiarex Testing Laboratory Inc. and CEM Testing Laboratory Inc. for undisclosed amount. The two related acquisitions closed in early January.
Fiarex specializes in dynamic and environmental testing, while CEM specializes in electromagnetic compatibility and interference testing (EMC and EMI). The two companies serve customers in the aerospace, defense, automotive, rail, consumer, and other industries.
Founded in 1961, National Technical Systems provides a wide range of test, inspection and certification services as well as supply chain management solutions. NTS was acquired by Aurora Capital Group in 2013.
