CPE Media News – pcJournal (11/8/2018) – TorQuest Partners has acquired Cando Rail Services Ltd. from founders, Gord Peters and Rick Hammond. Peters will remain invested in the business and continue as a member of the board of directors.
Founded in 1978, Brandon, Manitoba based Cando is a provider of specialized rail support services that allow industrial customers to optimize their bulk material supply chain and connect to Class 1 railways.
Cando has a workforce of over 600 employees. There will be no changes to the company’s day-to-day operations or management as a result of the transaction.

TorQuest Partners Invests in Cando Rail Services Ltd.
Toronto, Ontario – November 8, 2018 – TorQuest Partners (“TorQuest”) today announced an investment into Cando Rail Services Ltd. (“Cando”), a provider of specialized rail support services that allow industrial customers to optimize their bulk material supply chain and connect to Class 1 railways. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Co-founded by Gord Peters and Rick Hammond in 1978, and based in Brandon, Manitoba, Cando has a workforce of over 600 employees who help their customers optimize bulk material supply chains at more than 25 locations across North America, by providing a wide range of rail services. There will be no changes to the company’s day-to-day operations or management as a result of the transaction.
