VWR Corporation (NASDAQ: VWR), a provider of product and service solutions to laboratory and production customers, has acquired SEASTAR CHEMICALS Inc., a manufacturer of high purity reagents used in the global research, laboratory and microelectronics industries.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
SEASTAR CHEMICALS Inc. is a member of the AXYS Group of high technology companies. The AXYS Group is privately held company founded in 1974 by three founding members, Paul Erickson David Thomas and Peter Berrang.
VWR Corporation is 35% owned by Madison Dearborn Partners, VWR former controlling shareholder Madison Dearborn Partners sold majority of its stake in April 2016.
