Waterous Energy Fund holds initial close

According to Bloomberg, Waterous Energy Fund has “raised” $400 million. It is not clear if the fund had raised or is intending to raise $400 million.

The General Partners (GPs) of the fund are Adam Waterous and J. Gordon Flatt.

Waterous most recently was Scotiabank’s Head of Global Energy and formerly a founder of Waterous & Co. which was acquired by Scotia Capital in 2005. Flatt based in Bermuda is the brother of Bruce Flatt, CEO of Brookfield Asset Management Inc.
